Campion Homes awarded Excellence in Construction Award

Campion Homes of Dunfermline have been awarded our Excellence in Construction Award for Best Development (September 2022), for their Auchterderran Development in Fife.

The Excellence in Construction Award Scheme aims to recognise and promote high standards of construction and good site management practices across the industry. Campion Homes certainly achieved this, by taking the award over some pretty tough competition.

The development, built by Campion Homes for Kingdom Housing Association, consists of 45 new build, energy efficient homes which benefit from solar panels, increased insulation levels and decentralised mechanical extract ventilation systems, a achieving Building controls Full Bronze with Silver Levels 1 & 2 for their sustainable enhancements. The scheme also achieves the Association’s own design standard, Housing for Varying Needs. The properties also benefit from Secured by Design standards.

The development, which is a mix of 2 & 3 bedroom houses & cottage flats, sits on the North East Edge of Auchterderran in Fife, which is often referred to as the wider community of Cardenden.

The homes are highly energy efficient and boast energy ratings of B (81–91)

Checkmate have been working alongside Campion Homes on this development from the beginning of construction, providing valuable ongoing support and guidance in meeting the various technical standards required in order for the properties to benefit from our 10 Year Structural Warranty. Works have now completed, and this site will prove a great addition to the local area.

As part of our ongoing business sustainability drive and Carbon Neutrality under PAS2060, we have also planted 10 trees in the name of the site manager, Scott Riach, and have awarded him with a certificate of planting, along with the team’s Checkmate award certificate.
